A vote for the Welsh Liberal Democrats is a vote for Montgomeryshire. That was the view today from local AM, Mick Bates.

On the last day's campaigning before polling day for the Welsh Assembly elections, Mick said:

"This election is about making our lives here in Wales better. It's also about making our lives here in Montgomeryshire better. The Welsh Liberal Democrats suggest policies that seek to do both.

"We want to help make Montgomeryshire a better place to live. That means making sure our young people get the opportunity to buy a home they can afford. That means strengthening our local services. That means strengthening our schools. That means strengthening our transport links, attracting more jobs and making sure we do our bit to sustain the environment.

"We all want the best for Wales. We all want the best for Montgomeryshire. A vote for the Welsh Lib Dems on May 3rd is a vote for a better Wales. It's a vote for Montgomeryshire."
