Commenting on the merger of Welshpool based company Traltec (UK) Ltd with Telford based company T P Moulding Ltd, Local AM Mick Bates said:

"This merger is great news for manufacturing in Mid Wales.  Over the last few years we have seen a major decline in our manufacturing industry.  This merger will help reverse that.

"It will create around 135 much needed jobs and help create a strong economic future for the region.

"I look forward to meeting the managing director of the new company, Shimzu Industry UK Ltd in the near future."
