Mick is campaigning for better Health facilities in
Montgomeryshire:
"I have raised the issue of the development of better emergency
services in Montgomeryshire against the background of facilities
being moved from Shrewsbury to Telford.
“I have now spoken to the Powys Local Health Board and Community
Health Council. Both believe these improvements are necessary.
“Whilst I understand the need for some care work to be undertaken
in larger hospitals, we must improve our own emergency services in
Montgomeryshire.
“I have always believed that services are best when delivered
locally. Therefore I am determined to continue fighting for
better facilities here.
“The same argument applies for my call for community paramedics,
who can improve our services in the county by providing 24 hour
cover. Our current paramedics provide a brilliant service. I’ve
seen them operate at first hand on three separate occasions in the
last month. I have nothing but praise for their skill and speed of
operation.
“I hope more people will join me in lobbying for the delivery of
better health care here in Montgomeryshire.”
